DESCRIPTION:
As a Receptionist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll manage front desk operations, playing a vital role in creating positive first impressions while supporting our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll manage front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring positive visitor experiences while maintaining building security protocols. You'll coordinate administrative support across departments, handle communications, and contribute to creating an organized environment that reflects our commitment to excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year of experience in a reception or administrative role
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional certifications in office management or administration are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are highly valued
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Professional approach with focus on customer service
• Experience with visitor management systems and security protocols
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Demonstrated skills in managing office supplies and inventory
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, and travel arrangements
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to maintain workstation presence as needed
• Knowledge of basic office equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain professional composure

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $16.95–$25.42.
