Steel Shipping Lead
Location: Cocoa Beach, FL

Pay Rate: Starts at $26.00 (Higher rates available depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Lead to oversee steel loadout operations in a fast-paced structural steel fabrication environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time shipments while leading and supporting the shipping team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily steel loadout operations and shipping activities
Ensure materials are safely loaded, secured, and shipment-ready
Verify load accuracy, material markings, and shipping documentation
Coordinate with logistics, production, and shop teams to meet delivery schedules
Maintain accurate load tickets and shipping records using production/shipping software
Train and support new team members
Lead daily team safety meetings and enforce safety standards
Identify opportunities for operational improvements
Provide hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel material handling or shipping operations
At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience operating overhead cranes, telehandlers, vertical mast lifts, and forklifts
Familiarity with Tekla EPMgo or similar production/shipping software preferred
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
