Role Overview

Chartis is seeking a Senior Systems Specialist (SSS) with strong Epic Cadence and Patient Access expertise to join our Revenue Cycle Transformation Practice. This role is ideal for an experienced Epic analyst who brings deep in-system knowledge and has supported a variety of Epic initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and/or Community Connect engagements.

As a Senior Systems Specialist, you will focus on Epic Cadence configuration, build, and optimization, supporting patient access and scheduling workflows. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that align with operational goals, improve workflows, and support an effective patient and end-user experience.

Responsibilities

• System Configuration and Build: Design, configure, and maintain Epic Cadence functionality and related Patient Access workflows. Execute build activities aligned with project requirements, Epic best practices, and client standards.

• Project Delivery Support: Participate in Epic-related projects, including implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and Community Connect engagements. Independently execute assigned tasks and contribute to successful project delivery.

• Workflow Translation: Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to understand scheduling and patient access requirements and translate business and operational needs into effective Epic system configurations.

• Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test scripts and support unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing. Troubleshoot issues and ensure system functionality meets design specifications.

• Optimization and Enhancements: Identify opportunities to improve Cadence and Patient Access workflows and recommend configuration changes that enhance efficiency, usability, and the patient experience.

• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for system build, design decisions, workflows, and testing to support knowledge transfer and long-term sustainability.

• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, operations, and project leadership, to ensure alignment and successful execution of deliverables.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• 3–6+ years of Epic experience with a strong focus on Cadence and Patient Access system configuration and build.

• Active Epic Cadence certification required

• Secondary Epic certifications, including Prelude, Cheers, Referrals, RTE, billing, or other related applications, are preferred

• Strong hands-on experience supporting Epic Cadence scheduling workflows, configuration, build, maintenance, and optimization.

• Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization efforts, and/or Community Connect projects.

• Strong understanding of Epic Patient Access functionality and its interdependencies across the broader revenue cycle and Epic ecosystem.

• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective system build and configuration.

• Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and priorities within a project environment.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary range: $115,000-$140,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
