Our business is experiencing massive growth, specifically within the Data Center segment, where the market is evolving at an incredible pace. We are searching for an Applications Engineer who possesses the passion and excitement to grow, the innovation to tackle complex power challenges, and the drive to take an active role in product definition, characterization, and high-intensity post-ramp application support.

This role is responsible for application support for DDR PMICs (Power Management Integrated Circuits) within the Data Center vertical. You will work closely with a global customer base of DRAM vendors to drive design-in opportunities and ensure our power solutions meet the rigorous demands of next-generation data center architectures.

Key responsibilities include:

Answering customer questions and supporting design-in activities for released products. This includes:

• Providing expert technical support via forums and email to resolve complex DDR power challenges.
• Performing schematic and layout reviews of customer applications to ensure optimal power integrity and stability.
• Debugging customer issues by recreating scenarios on TI evaluation boards or directly on customer boards.
• Providing on-site support at customer locations as required to ensure successful implementation.
• Navigating critical design windows and managing technical requirements for Intel AVL (Approved Vendor List) qualification.

Product Evaluation and Development:

• Designing EVMs and internal evaluation boards to support correlation and evaluation activities for new DDR PMIC products.
• Creating user guides, test procedures, and ensuring the proper release of EVM boards for customer consumption.
• Participating in datasheet reviews to ensure technical completeness and accuracy for the end-user.
• Performing bench characterization for DDR PMIC devices, utilizing automation, hardware design, and advanced test techniques.
• Participating in new silicon testing from an application perspective to ensure product robustness (e.g., destructive testing).

Strategic Growth and Customer Success:

• Collaborating with Systems Engineers to provide support for early design-in activities for upcoming products.
• Developing automation workflows to collect and analyze data to drive customer adoption and track market trends.
• Creating custom reference designs targeting specific Data Center applications to serve as implementation blueprints for customers.
• Writing application notes that explain diverse use cases, implementation strategies, and the flexibility of our DDR power solutions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Foundational knowledge of power electronics (DC-DC conversion) and control loop theory.
• Experience with PCB design tools and power layout principles.
• Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently to support global customers.

Preferred:

• Deep understanding of control loop stability and compensation.
• Experience with automation/scripting (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for data collection and testing.
• Direct experience with DDR (DDR4/5/6) or the Data Center/Memory market.
• Proven track record of managing complex technical projects within tight design windows.
