Associate Director, Global Pipeline Forecasting, Neuroscience/Specialty

The Associate Director, Global Pipeline Forecasting, Neuroscience/Specialty develops commercial sales forecasts for pipeline compounds and on-market product lifecycle projects. He/She leads and/or coordinates forecasting and commercial analytics activities supporting strategic commercial development initiatives.  The role works closely with Pipeline Commercial, Market Access and Pricing, Finance, Operations, and Senior Leadership, reporting to the Director, Global Pipeline Forecasting, Neuroscience/Specialty.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Partner with Pipeline Commercialization & Strategy (PCS) leads to provide a data-driven perspective on asset value.
• Lead and coordinate forecasting efforts for assigned assets.
• Plan and support market insights activities to inform forecasting, in collaboration with Marketing Analytics & Business Insights (MABI).
• Develop and maintain forecast models to inform long-range planning, milestone decisions, strategic planning, and business development opportunities.
• Lead the design and implementation of model enhancements and new forecasting approaches as needed.
• Provide real-time decision support through close collaboration with PCS stakeholders and cross-functional partners across AbbVie, including:
  • US Commercial and Finance
  • Research and Development (R&D)
  • Portfolio Insights (PI)
  • Decision Sciences
  • Marketing Analytics & Business Insights (MABI)
  • Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
  • Global Epidemiology
  • Global and US Market Access and Pricing
  • Regulatory
  • Medical
  • Global Marketing & Commercial Operations
  • Area and Affiliate Commercial organizations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or business required.
  • MBA or advanced STEM degree preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant sales forecasting or market analytics experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences consulting industries.
• Experience in providing marketing analytics and forecasting analyses for specialized therapeutic areas.
• Experience building forecast models and conducting analyses for decision support.
• Demonstrated experience in the incorporation and communication of primary and secondary data for strategic decision support.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.
• Self-motivated, with experience managing multiple projects across multiple teams while delivering results on-time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with significant Excel experience.
