Systems Support Engineer, re:Cycle Reverse Logistics

re:Cycle Reverse Logistics is looking for a Systems Support Engineer for its Reverse Logistics operation based in CVG110. Our mission is to manage and scale information technology asset disposition (ITAD) services for used electronics and electronic equipment (UEEE) through secure and environmentally sustainable practices supporting asset recovery, reuse, recycling, and other circular economy initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
The Systems Support Engineer supports Reverse Logistics operations based in CVG110 by building, deploying, and maintaining failure analysis testing infrastructure for the world’s premier cloud computing platform. This role operates in a multi-platform, international lab environment supporting hardware testing, automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Systems Support Engineers manage test automation infrastructure across multiple platforms and architectures and implement scalable testing, monitoring, and reporting solutions that improve hardware quality, reliability, and operational readiness.
Key job responsibilities
· Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve testing environments for Failure Analysis of platforms and components.
· Develop and support automation, scripting, and engineering tools that improve testing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
· Utilize source control, code review, change management, and deployment mechanisms to safely implement technical changes.
· Monitor infrastructure health, investigate failures, identify root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
· Develop and improve reporting, dashboards, technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes.
· Manage engineering work through established project and ticketing mechanisms, including ownership, deliverables, risks, and escalations.
· Support testing solutions throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements and deployment through sustainment and continuous improvement.
· Maintain required test infrastructure materials, components, and inventory.

A day in the life
A Systems Support Engineer serves as a key technical owner within the Failure Analysis lab, responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting the hardware and software that support test environments. The role requires strong ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that impact testing operations. Engineers work closely with Test Engineering, Failure Analysis, Hardware Engineering, and other partner teams to address cross-functional dependencies, improve system reliability, and ensure testing infrastructure remains scalable, available, and ready to support evolving business needs.

Basic qualifications

• 2+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience
• 1+ years of work in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
• Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development
• Experience working in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
• Knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems
• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
• Experience in network capture and systems troubleshooting
• Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
