Job Description:

About the Role

HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Strategic Digital Initiatives to lead the business-side execution of a large-scale digital platform program that enables new capabilities, modernizes operations, and improves customer and partner experiences. Reporting to the Digital Strategy Leader, this role is accountable for integrated delivery of the assigned initiative across business, product, operations, technology, data, change management, Finance, and external partner teams.

The Senior Program Manager translates approved strategic objectives into an executable, integrated program plan and drives delivery from planning through platform implementation, launch, stabilization, adoption, and value realization. The role operates within the enterprise product operating model, governance standards, planning cadence, and delivery frameworks established by Product Operations & Governance and the broader Transformation Office.

This position is suited to a leader who thrives in ambiguity, builds alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and drives disciplined execution in a highly matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead integrated business execution for an assigned large-scale digital platform initiative within established enterprise planning and governance frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain the integrated program plan, milestones, success measures, decision log, and cross-workstream delivery plan for the assigned initiative.

  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies, and drive timely mitigation or escalation.

  • Apply the product operating model, governance standards, planning cadence, and delivery controls defined by Product Operations & Governance and the broader enterprise program.

Business Outcomes and Value Realization

  • Develop and maintain the business case, benefits framework, measurable outcomes, and value realization plan in partnership with Finance and business leaders.

  • Track progress against expected business, customer, partner, and operational outcomes and recommend corrective action when needed.

  • Ensure digital platform investments translate into sustainable operational improvements and measurable value.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Orchestrate execution across Product Management, Operations, Technology, Data, Process Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Change Management, and external partners.

  • Manage interdependencies across workstreams and establish clear ownership, decision rights, and escalation paths.

  • Facilitate issue resolution and maintain alignment between business priorities and technical delivery.

Product and Business Delivery Alignment

  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and business leaders to align strategic objectives, customer needs, operational requirements, and delivered platform capabilities.

  • Facilitate initiative-level sequencing and trade-off recommendations based on approved product priorities, business value, risk, readiness, and dependencies; escalate portfolio-level prioritization decisions to the appropriate product and governance leaders.

  • Maintain traceability between program objectives, business requirements, delivered capabilities, and measurable outcomes.

Initiative Governance and Executive Communication

  • Coordinate initiative-level steering committee materials, decision forums, and leadership reviews in alignment with established enterprise governance standards and cadence.

  • Prepare concise executive status updates, decision materials, recommendations, and escalation summaries.

  • Provide transparent reporting on delivery health, value, financials, risks, dependencies, readiness, and decisions.

Vendor and Strategic Partner Management

  • Coordinate day-to-day business-side engagement with implementation partners, consultants, and vendors supporting the assigned initiative.

  • Monitor vendor commitments, deliverables, performance, dependencies, and alignment to program outcomes.

  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Technology, and the appropriate business owner on initiative-specific contract deliverables, commercial issues, and value delivery; use established sourcing and RFP frameworks.

Platform Readiness, Launch, and Adoption

  • Coordinate business readiness for platform deployment, including process alignment, data readiness, execution of business testing, training, communications, support models, and adoption planning. Apply the enterprise UAT framework and standards owned by Product Operations & Governance.

  • Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and Change Management teams to plan go-live, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations.

  • Monitor adoption, stakeholder feedback, and early-life performance, and drive actions needed to achieve expected outcomes.

Budget and Financial Oversight

  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, funding requirements, and financial reporting for the assigned initiative.

  • Monitor expenditures against approved plans and business case assumptions, identify variances, and recommend corrective action.

  • Support investment governance and responsible stewardship of program resources.

Role Boundaries and Key Partnerships

  • Product Operations & Governance owns the enterprise product operating model, portfolio planning cadence, governance standards, delivery-health framework, product enablement practices, UAT framework, and common RFP standards. This role applies those standards to the assigned initiative and provides timely program data and insights.

  • Product Managers and Product Owners own product vision, roadmap, backlog, feature prioritization, and product acceptance. This role integrates their plans with the broader program and manages cross-workstream dependencies, risks, and milestones.

  • The IT Program Manager owns technical delivery planning and execution. This role owns integrated business delivery, stakeholder alignment, business readiness, vendor coordination, and value realization for the assigned initiative.

  • The broader Transformation Office owns enterprise-level program governance, cross-program integration, and overall transformation outcomes. This role represents and delivers the assigned digital initiative within that structure.

Education and Experience Required

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Program Management, or a related field.

  • Typically 8+ years of experience leading complex business, digital, operational, or technology-enabled programs.

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale digital platform implementations, modernization programs, or technology-enabled business initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated success coordinating business, operational, product, technology, data, and vendor stakeholders through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and adoption.

  • Experience developing business cases, managing budgets, establishing governance, and driving value realization.

  • Experience supporting platform selection, implementation, migration, rollout, or operational readiness initiatives preferred.

  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed environment with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Financial services, leasing, banking, fintech, or enterprise technology experience preferred.

Filing history reflects past employer behavior; it isn't a promise for this opening.

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence. 189 filing titles were examined for this employer.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
