Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor. This is a Full-Time role, working onsite (Monday-Friday Daylight) at our Aerospace manufacturing facility in Orchard Park, NY.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
The Lead Engineer manages the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) group and owns continuous improvement across the site's manufacturing areas. The role advances manufacturing capability, supplies the engineering support behind the site's annual growth plan, and ensures every EHS activity and program touching manufacturing engineering is met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties below are representative; other tasks may be assigned.
• Manages the Manufacturing Engineers and supports new product launches, driving Business Unit objectives including OPE, OTD, FPY, revenue, and cost savings/FCO.
• Determine resource needs for the ME team and deploy team members where they deliver the most value.
• Provide the engineering solutions and technical direction that support the manufacturing objectives of the site's Integrated Product Teams.
• Guide the team in identifying, acquiring, and integrating the equipment and tooling that establishes or improves manufacturing capability.
• Direct facility layout evaluation and development against operational requirements, in step with Management of Change responsibilities.
• Build the site capital plan: identify the assets required, write the Cap Ex proposals, and complete the supporting ROI analysis.
• Grow the skills, knowledge, and development plans of the ME group.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, communicating clearly with every function of the business.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or operations.
- Three (3)+ years in manufacturing processes or manufacturing engineering.
- Two (2)+ years managing direct reports, including career planning and annual feedback and reviews.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred:
- Project management tools, ergonomic assessments, and Lean/Six Sigma certification.
- Working knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS).
- Demonstrated use of Lean Six Sigma tools with proven cost savings and improvements.
- Ability to manage several priorities on short timelines.
- Industry 4.0 transformations and automation.
- Design, integration, and support of COTS and custom-fabricated assembly and test equipment.
- Software: Oracle, VKS, Relyence, Humantech, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), 2D CAD, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
