The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. YOUR IMPACT

The Executive Office is seeking a highly motivated associate to help translate the division's people strategy and operating priorities into measurable outcomes, while independently driving high-impact initiatives on behalf of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This role requires a strong analytical and operational mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to build effective relationships across levels, teams, and regions. The associate will structure ambiguous problems, use quantitative and qualitative information to develop recommendations, and take ownership of multiple workstreams from planning through execution. Success requires high standards, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver a positive and consistent employee experience while improving how the division operates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders on divisional priorities, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions

• Drive people and talent initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, development, connectivity, and recognition, and assess outcomes to inform future priorities

• Independently manage key divisional programs and events from planning through execution, aligning stakeholders, communications, materials, logistics, and measures of success

• Help shape and manage the operating model and talent experience for the division’s administrative population, including hiring, onboarding, training, coverage coordination, communications, and resource development

• Partner with cross-functional and regional stakeholders to advance talent priorities, AI adoption, training opportunities, operating-model enhancements, and process improvements

• Advance leadership priorities by synthesizing information, developing recommendations and executive materials, and driving decisions, actions, and follow-through

• Oversee and improve recurring divisional operating processes, including organizational reporting, open roles, systems access, physical space planning, third-party management, and expense-related matters; use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

• Prepare clear, concise executive communications, reports, briefings, and presentations that synthesize quantitative and qualitative information for senior audiences

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, manage complex workstreams, and deliver with high attention to detail and follow-through

• Strong analytical skills and comfort using quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights and recommendations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information for senior audiences

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization

• Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion, with excellent judgment and resourcefulness

• Fluency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; 3–5 years of relevant experience

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
