The EMEA Payroll Compliance Manager will join a growing team of payroll and employment tax professionals within TikTok and will have responsibility for delivering some of our core employment tax reporting and compliance tasks across EMEA. The candidate will also provide advice on employment tax related matters to internal stakeholders and contribute to process improvements and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in providing pragmatic employment tax advice as well as an ability to independently prepare compliance submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement EMEA-wide payroll compliance frameworks with country-specific depth and regional consistency.
• Proactively monitor payroll compliance and regulatory updates at a regional level, communicate their impact on business and payroll operations and update policies accordingly.
• Ensure payroll operations comply with all relevant labor, tax and other laws (as required).
• Ensure compliance frameworks reflect operational reality across different countries, entities, and payroll delivery models.
• Develop and maintain country-level payroll compliance white papers covering statutory payroll, employment tax, social security, and reporting requirements.
• Translate regulatory changes into clear, country-specific operational guidance, process updates, system and control improvements.
• Provide payroll compliance input to support system development, implementation and automation.
• Coordinate with and, where appropriate, engage with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
