CNC Supervisor
Job description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Partner with the Production Manager to deliver safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and company standards.
- Support the development and execution of short-term and long-term operational objectives.
- Train, coach, and develop team members across areas such as quality, safety, CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement practices.
- Participate in daily production and planning meetings to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved and customer requirements are met.
- Provide recommendations to improve manufacturing performance, equipment utilization, and maintenance effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to maximize machine capability, reliability, and production capacity.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to identify root causes of process issues and implement effective corrective actions to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Coordinate material flow throughout production processes to ensure product integrity, traceability, efficiency, and safety in partnership with Quality and Warehouse teams.
- Analyze production processes and performance metrics related to quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Lead workforce planning activities, including attendance management, performance coaching, and employee development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead and support a production team of approximately 10 to 30 employees, fostering engagement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Serve as the shift leader when assigned, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations during the designated shift.
- Support additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within a machining environment using CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing production teams.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems such as ERP, MRP, or MES platforms.
- Flexibility to support shift-based operations and additional working hours when business needs require.
- Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent education in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC programming software and machining technologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance practices.
- Experience in highly regulated or precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects with measurable business impact.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
