The Opportunity:

CACI is hiring a Solutions Architect/Modeler on an upcoming program. The Solutions Architect/Modeler on this program will be responsible for documenting and performing impact analysis on the overall design, integration, and technical integrity of a Federal enterprise acquisition system modernization. This role acts as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring the delivered system is robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with Federal enterprise goals.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Document system interfaces and APIs using OpenAPI 3.x specifications, ensuring compliance with enterprise API governance standards and registration in enterprise catalog
• Develop conceptual, logical, physical, security, deployment, and integration architecture views following Federal enterprise architecture standards
• Verify design and technical integrity across all program phases, ensuring alignment with Federal standards, cloud platforms, and enterprise integration patterns
• Model the system integration strategy including data exchanges with internal and external entities, ensuring seamless interoperability across financial systems, Federal platforms, and internal applications
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout the program lifecycle, providing proactive guidance to development teams and stakeholders
• Use Model-based Systems Engineering to generate System Architecture Design Document, Solution Design Specification, and Security Architecture Overview as contract deliverables
• Collaborate with Federal stakeholders, technical teams, and subcontractor partners (Appian, Groundswell) to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure security compliance, performance optimization, and adherence to Federal IT modernization best practices (FedRAMP High, TIC 3.0, Zero Trust, ATO)
  

Qualifications:

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field of study
• US Citizen with ability to pass Tier 2 background investigation
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture or technical leadership, with at least 5 years modeling large-scale Federal systems
• History of successful delivery of enterprise IT modernization projects involving complex data migration and legacy system integration
• Extensive experience with architectural and modeling frameworks, standards, and methodologies (such as UAF, DoDAF, or TOGAF)
• Proficiency in modeling tools (preferably CATIA Magic, NoMagic Cameo or similar tools)
• Mastery of MBSE tools and modeling languages (UML, SysML, BPMN)

Desired:

• Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-based acquisition or contract management systems for Federal agencies at cabinet or enterprise scale
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure Government), enterprise integration, security compliance, and IT performance management in Federal environments
• Hands-on experience with Appian platform or low-code enterprise solutions
• Knowledge of Federal acquisition lifecycle (FAR/VAAR) and contracting business processes
• Expert-level understanding of API design and management (REST, SOAP, OpenAPI 3.x, API gateway patterns)
• Experience with Azure Government Cloud (MAG) and FedRAMP High compliance
• Deep knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, microservices architecture, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Experience with data architecture, data migration strategies, and master data management
• Security architecture expertise including Zero Trust, NIST 800-53, ATO processes, and Federal security frameworks
• Strong understanding of Federal IT standards (TIC 3.0, IPv6, VA TRM)
• Architecture certifications (such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Open Group Certified Architect)
• Experience leading Architecture Review Boards and establishing governance frameworks

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
