Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Additive Manufacturing)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Plan and execute additive manufacturing build jobs from printing through post-processing, inspection, material verification, and final work order completion.
• Operate additive manufacturing equipment and ensure builds are completed safely, according to quality requirements and production schedules.
• Coordinate post-processing activities including depowdering, powder reclaim, heat treatment, part removal, machining, welding, dimensional inspection, and material testing.
• Work with equipment suppliers and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement preventive maintenance activities to maximize machine uptime and utilization.
• Ensure materials, consumables, tooling, and other resources are available to support manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with Planning, Supply Chain, Machining, Welding, Quality, Engineering, and external suppliers to ensure timely completion of manufacturing work orders.
• Work with regional and global teams on build preparation, print layouts, and manufacturing requirements.
• Support material and process qualification, inspection, testing, and documentation requirements.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on first-pass yield, machine utilization, throughput, cycle time, scrap reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods to resolve manufacturing, equipment, material, and process-related issues.

Who You Are:

• You are a hands-on and execution-focused engineer who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment. You are comfortable coordinating multiple manufacturing activities and solving practical problems on the shop floor. You collaborate effectively across functions, adapt quickly to new technologies and processes, and demonstrate strong learning agility. You maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, machining, welding, component fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience working with manufacturing machinery, equipment, or computer-controlled production processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, manufacturing routings, and work orders.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, heat treatment, inspection, or component fabrication.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM, CNC programming, CMM, 3D scanning, or other relevant manufacturing software and technologies.
• Understanding of material properties and manufacturing process requirements.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to plan and coordinate multiple manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and work order requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams, equipment suppliers, material suppliers, and external service providers.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience with additive manufacturing, metal 3D printing, DMLS/SLM, or other powder bed fusion technologies.
• Experience with metal materials such as Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum alloys, or other engineering alloys.
• Exposure to additive manufacturing post-processing, including depowdering, heat treatment, machining, welding, and dimensional inspection.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machine qualification, or process validation.
• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, or other manufacturing quality tools.
• Experience working with suppliers or coordinating outsourced manufacturing processes.
• Experience in valve, oil & gas, aerospace, heavy engineering, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems and manufacturing documentation requirements.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to quickly develop capability in new manufacturing technologies and processes.
