Job description

Amazon is looking for a smart and ambitious Seller Consultant to join its China team. The objective of the Sales consultant is to deliver new business growth and maximize revenue generation across Amazon's suite of products for merchants. You will analyze traffic and sales data to identify opportunities to help sellers succeed on the marketplaces.
Your superior communication, organizational and technical skills will enable you to operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, where you will have the autonomy to take full control and responsibility for achieving our business objectives.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a category recruitment strategy by analyzing the competitive landscape and defining new products' value proposition.
  • Identify, recruit and support sellers of various types (SMEs to large retailers) to execute on growth plans.
  • Review and monitor performance and sales of Amazon's partners in order to provide them with consulting advice to grow their business.
  • Feed back to other teams within Amazon worldwide lessons learned during project implementation and post-live support phases.
  • Coordinate and lead project with cross function teams and deliver result with stakeholders

Key job responsibilities
1. Sales Execution & Seller Conversion Seek qualified leads and drive end-to-end conversion. Identify decision-makers, deliver tailored pitches by category and seller profile, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and convert high-quality brand owners to launch on the platform.

2. New Seller Onboarding & Activation Guide newly launched sellers through their first 90 days. Help them optimize listings, build compelling content, generate early reviews, and activate advertising and promotions to build initial sales momentum.

3. Seller Growth & Brand Development Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend next steps. Help sellers strengthen brand presence, improve visibility, and adopt advanced marketing tools aligned with their goals.

4. Category Knowledge & Market Insight Develop strong category knowledge for credible seller conversations. Stay current on trends, competition, and seasonal dynamics. Share learnings and contribute to reusable category best practices.

5. Relationship Management & Account Growth Build long-term relationships with a portfolio of brand owners. Serve as primary contact and trusted advisor across procurement, e-commerce, marketing, and executive contacts, driving satisfaction and retention.

6. AI-Augmented Selling & Continuous Improvement Use AI tools to work faster and deliver higher-quality output across the seller lifecycle, while judging when AI isn't the right approach. Document repeatable AI workflows for the team, and always validate AI outputs before seller-facing use. Articulate AI solutions to sellers, share prompts and learnings, and track time saved. All AI use must comply with Amazon's Responsible AI Use Policy.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

  • 2+ years of inside sales experience
  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses
  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
