Based in Prague, as an HR Assistant (Sr Associate), you will play a critical role in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships, often providing candidates with their first impression of Amazon. The HR Assistant team supports Amazon's most technical divisions, including Digital Technologies, Web Services, and Infrastructure teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Schedule interviews and phone screens, working directly with technical candidates and hiring managers
• Arrange travel logistics for visiting candidates as needed
• Update and maintain candidate records in recruiting systems with accuracy and timeliness
• Greet and assist candidates during on-site interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience
• Communicate candidate status updates to recruiters and provide follow-up correspondence to candidates via phone and email
• Track recruiting activities and generate candidate status reports for recruiters
• Coordinate post-interview debrief meetings and prepare debrief materials
• Collaborate with recruiters to identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
• Assist in the coordination of additional recruiting activities as needed

Basic qualifications

• Fluency in both English and German (B2/C1 level minimum)
• Customer service skills with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
• Organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and comfort in dealing with ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and escalate issues when appropriate
• Previous recruiting coordinator experience or equivalent
• Proficiency with standard office software and scheduling tools

Preferred qualifications

• Additional European language skills are advantageous (Czech, Polish, Spanish)
• Experience working in a high-volume recruiting environment
• Previous work in reception, customer service, or event coordination
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with minimal supervision
• Experience supporting technical hiring teams
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
