Position Summary

The BP&T HYD Data Operations Lead, Associate Director, provides strategic data leadership for the Hyderabad Data Operations organization and drives high-quality execution, master data governance, NPI data readiness, and data quality across Global Supply Chain (GSC). The role leads and influences complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen data as a strategic asset and enable process intelligence, digital transformation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled supply chain capabilities. The Associate Director translates the Global Data Operations and governance roadmap into Hyderabad execution plans, while also shaping priorities, risk decisions, standards, adoption measures, and value outcomes through regional, global, and cross-functional forums. Working closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Product Development, Process Intelligence, Global Data Operations, and BP&T, the role builds a scalable data operating model across data foundation, mapping, stewardship, controls, lifecycle management, service performance, and continuous improvement. The role also develops data capability, coaches the Hyderabad team and matrix partners, and educates stakeholders on the business value of accurate, trusted, governed, and well-managed data.

Scope and Impact

·       Lead and influence cross-functional data operations, governance, data quality, NPI readiness, and digital enablement initiatives with high organizational impact across GSC and the Hyderabad hub.

·       Translate GSC, BP&T, and Global Data Operations strategy into integrated roadmaps, execution priorities, decision points, KPIs, adoption measures, and measurable business outcomes.

·       Provide strategic input to leadership and governance forums on data priorities, investment needs, operating model maturity, risks, trade-offs, sequencing, and value realization.

·       Strengthen decision making by connecting master data, process performance, data quality, operational controls, product lifecycle requirements, system impacts, and business outcomes.

·       Operate as a regional data leader and matrix influencer, creating alignment across global, regional, and Hyderabad-based teams on governance expectations, standards, accountabilities, and execution discipline.

Duties/Responsibilities

·       Lead the Hyderabad Data Operations organization responsible for master data creation, extension, maintenance, remediation, obsoletion, and operational data services across GSC.

·       Serve as the Hyderabad voice of data, representing data priorities, risks, opportunities, value outcomes, and improvement needs across regional, global, and cross-functional forums.

·       Shape and translate the Global Data Operations and governance roadmap into Hyderabad execution plans with clear milestones, ownership, adoption measures, controls, KPIs, and value outcomes.

·       Lead cross-functional, complex initiatives across data quality, governance, data foundation, data mapping, lifecycle management, workflow optimization, automation, service maturity, and data operations scalability.

·       Lead NPI and launch master data readiness by ensuring timely, accurate, governed, and risk-managed data execution across planning, manufacturing, quality, serialization, distribution, and supply chain processes.

·       Strengthen master data governance by embedding standards, business rules, stewardship responsibilities, controls, escalation routines, and data quality disciplines into operational delivery.

·       Partner with Process Intelligence to connect process maps, data flows, process performance, data quality insights, operational pain points, and improvement opportunities into an integrated operating model.

·       Use data quality measures, KPIs, service levels, stakeholder feedback, and issue trends to identify root causes, prioritize interventions, and drive measurable improvement in accuracy, timeliness, productivity, transparency, and stakeholder experience.

·       Identify and influence opportunities for standardization, automation, workflow redesign, self-service, digital enablement, and AI-ready data foundations to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.

·       Provide strategic input and recommendations to governance and leadership forums, including risks, mitigations, trade-offs, dependencies, resource needs, adoption barriers, and decision options.

·       Educate stakeholders on master data principles, governance expectations, stewardship models, data quality impacts, and the business value of trusted data in practical business language.

·       Build strong partnerships with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Product Development, Process Intelligence, Global Data Operations, and BP&T to resolve complex data challenges and improve business outcomes.

·       Develop data literacy and maturity across the Hyderabad and regional stakeholder community through forums, coaching, communications, training content, playbooks, and practical guidance.

·       Develop and coach the Hyderabad Data Operations team and matrix partners by creating clarity on priorities, accountabilities, development opportunities, delivery expectations, and continuous improvement behaviors.

·       Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, data integrity, audit readiness, and company requirements across data operations processes.

·       Act as an SME and strategic advisor to projects and initiatives that create, change, rely on, or are impacted by GSC data capabilities, including reporting, analytics, process intelligence, digital transformation, and AI-enabled use cases.

Reporting Relationship

·       This position has a solid line reporting relationship to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Hyderabad Lead.

·       This position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director, Global Data Operations, ensuring alignment to global data operations standards, priorities, and roadmap execution.

·       This position has people management responsibility for the Hyderabad Data Operations team, while also leading through matrix influence across global, regional, and Hyderabad-based stakeholders.

Qualifications

·       Education: Master, MBA, Engineering degree, or Bachelor degree with equivalent experience in supply chain, management, information systems, data management, engineering, life sciences, technology, or a related discipline.

·       Advanced certification in Supply Chain Management strongly preferred, such as APICS CSCP / CPIM.

·       Lean Six Sigma, data management, operational excellence, PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.

·       8+ years of experience in supply chain, data operations, master data management, data governance, business transformation, or related business functions.

·       Demonstrated experience leading and influencing operational teams and cross-functional initiatives in a global, matrixed environment, including people development, coaching, capability building, performance management, and stakeholder alignment.

·       Expertise across multiple supply chain data processes and capabilities, with strong understanding of end-to-end interdependencies, bottlenecks, risks, and business performance impacts.

·       Strong understanding of supply chain master data structures, governance models, stewardship models, business rules, controls, data quality practices, and lifecycle management processes.

·       Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), launch readiness, product lifecycle management, or master data readiness for supply chain execution.

·       Proven ability to develop and execute roadmaps, translate strategy into operational plans, influence governance decisions, manage priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

·       Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Product Development, Process Intelligence, Global Data Operations, and business transformation.

·       Strong experience using KPIs, service levels, data quality metrics, risk management, and continuous improvement methods to improve operational execution and stakeholder experience.

·       Exposure to ERP and supply chain platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and associated planning, workflow, reporting, analytics, data governance, or data quality tools preferred.

·       Executive communication, stakeholder engagement, influencing, education, and decision-support skills, with the ability to explain complex data topics in practical business terms.

·       Ability to build consensus, resolve conflict, manage risk, and align teams around standards, controls, governance, operating model maturity, and operational execution.

·       Change leadership mindset with ability to lead through ambiguity, evolving priorities, digital transformation, and compliance expectations while maintaining operational discipline and data integrity.
