Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

1. Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo

2. Maintain Operational Excellence

• Responsible for executing accounting and daily operations for Revenue Accounting process area
• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope
• Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items
• On the job training for new team members / BPO partners
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
• Understand, adhere and execute per world wide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings

3. Talent management

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Revenue Accounting professionals to achieve operational and individual performance objectives.
• Conduct regular one-on-one discussions, coaching sessions, and career development conversations to support employee growth and engagement.
• Identify skill gaps and create development plans to strengthen technical, analytical, and leadership capabilities within the team.
• Drive talent review, succession planning, and readiness assessments to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Support recruitment activities, including candidate interviews, selection, onboarding, and integration of new hires into the organization.
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer, cross-training, and documentation to promote business continuity and team flexibility.
• Monitor team workload and resource utilization to ensure balanced capacity and sustainable performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement aligned with company values.

4. Be a trusted business partner

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Serve as the primary Revenue Accounting contact for assigned markets, providing accounting guidance and operational support.
• Partner with Business Unit and Finance teams to understand business activities and assess accounting implications.
• Provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights on revenue, reserves, rebates, returns, and related accounting matters to support decision-making.
• Communicate financial risks, control concerns, and process gaps proactively and recommend appropriate actions.
• Drive alignment between operational teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance.

5. Create game-changing innovation

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify automation opportunities through digital tools, analytics, and system enhancements to improve productivity, accuracy, and scalability.
• Lead and support transformation initiatives, including system implementations, process standardization, and operating model changes.
• Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
