As an Associate within Global Payments Event Marketing, you lead end-to-end client event programs across Asia Pacific—from concept to delivery and post-event insights. You translate business priorities into event strategies and experiences that drive engagement and measurable outcomes. You partner closely with regional colleagues, product partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver events that are on brand, on budget, and well controlled. You balance creativity with operational discipline, managing multiple programs at once. You use data to improve what we do and how we do it.
Job responsibilities
Lead event initiatives in the region, partnering with the Payments line of business and other functions to develop impactful programs aligned to business strategy and objectives
Own end-to-end event process, including briefs, research and proposals, event agenda development, approvals, invitee and speaker management, venue sourcing and setup, event design, production management (audio-visual, virtual event management), budget management, onsite execution, and post-event analysis
Effectively manage external vendors and venues on all event-related matters
Own budget tracking and cost efficiency, ensuring financial discipline across programs
Adhere to internal policies and procedures with regard to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
Accurately maintain Events database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets and event collateral
Build strong partnerships and drive continuous improvement, elevating event processes and standards across the region
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Degree in Events, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management or a related degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and management/execution
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with proven end-to-end event ownership
Client-focused, highly organized and process-oriented with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
A confident ambassador to internal management with the ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across lines of business
Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player with proven ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Strong process management and project governance capabilities, including disciplined documentation practices, version control of metric definitions, and adherence to data privacy, risk, and control requirements.
Excellent English oral and written communications skills with a high level of attention to detail and ability to distill complex analyses into actionable recommendations and executive-ready presentations.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as hands-on experience with various CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or technology tools
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and to travel within the region as needed
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Prior experience working in the financial services industry
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools, including Microsoft Copilot and other large language model (LLM) platforms
Mandarin proficiency would be advantage for leading event initiatives in China
