Lockheed Martin is seeking a THAAD Interceptor Development Associate Program Manager, reporting to the THAAD Interceptor Development Portfolio Manager.

THAAD Interceptor Development falls under the Upper Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (UTIAMD) THAAD Development Program Area, which is responsible for the execution of THAAD Weapon System and Component design, development, integration and test. Interceptor development efforts include, but are not limited to, development of future Weapon System capabilities, incremental product changes, hardware redesigns/changes due to obsolescence, increased performance capability, cost reduction initiatives, technology insertion, and changes in response to an expanded target space.

This position requires development of professional relationships across multiple Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Army customers, Lockheed Martin executive leadership, and multiple LM business areas. The successful candidate need to maintain frequent and effective communications with global supply chain teams, external suppliers, finance, planning, contracts, quality, engineering and other stakeholders as necessary to meet objectives. This role will oversee all phases of programs from inception through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of THAAD projects as required by the development organization. They will acts as the  primary working level customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. They will manage program adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as the allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. They will also oversee the work of employees assigned to the projects from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated program or project management experience

• Experience working with supply chain management or equivalent combined expereince

• Earned Value Management (EVM) or budget/schedule management experience

• Risk and Opportunity Management experience

• Must be eligible for DOD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

• Development experience with flight hardware and/or associated technologies including Software Development

• Experience working with a defense industry customer organization

• Experience in multiple phases of the Development lifecycle (requirements development, design, flight test, qualification, verification, product delivery)

• Experience managing supplier program execution, deliverables, and commitments

• Demonstrated ability to formulate & execute corrective actions and recovery plans

• Experience with proposal development and prime/supplier negotiations

• Strong communication skillsLocated in or willing to relocate to Sunnyvale, CA or surrounding communities

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $150800.00 - $280000.00 
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $135700.00 - $251900.00 
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $120600.00 - $224000.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $108600.00 - $201600.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
