We are looking for candidates eager to continue their journey within the security industry. Qualified candidates will:

• Be physically located within the United States during the entire duration of the internship
• Be available for full-time hire no later than September 2027
• Be able to attend the mandatory in-person onboarding hosted in Tampa, FL (all expenses paid)
• Have a basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems and security - resume and application must clearly reflect this knowledge in order to be considered
• Have a genuine passion for information security
• Be motivated and eager to learn new skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools
• Have demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, which may include:
• Obtaining certifications
• Attending trainings
• Pursuing a formal education
• Participating in industry organizations
• Contributing to personal or industry projects

This position is not available for candidates living in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Internship Details and Expectations

:

This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20hr) that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from January 11 - April 2, 2027 . Interns are expected to:

• Work a majority of hours between 11am-4pm EST Monday through Friday, ranging from 25-29hrs/wk
• Attend the mandatory in-person onboarding in Tampa, FL from January 11 - January 14, 2027 (all expenses paid)
• Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours

While the internship does allow flexible hours, interns will often be required to attend trainings and shadowing opportunities between the hours of 11am - 4pm EST, Monday - Friday. It is vital for the intern's development to attend these events, so we can only accept candidates who are largely available during these hours. Evaluation Process:

1. GPSU team receives and reviews applications as they are submitted
2. Selected candidates will be invited to conduct a 2.5 hour virtual technical assessment
3. Candidates who successfully complete the technical assessment will be invited to a 1-hour technical interview
4. Candidates who meet all criteria will be evaluated for potential placement
