Finance & Business Management Associate

As a Finance and Business Management Associate in the Consumer and Community Banking Data Technology and Product Finance team, you will help manage financial performance and optimize business outcomes across a global portfolio. You will support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and value‑added analysis, translating results into crisp narratives for senior leaders. You will connect stakeholders across product, engineering, and platform teams to align on financial priorities, timelines, and business decisions. You will also identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data quality through standard templates and automation.

Job responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and outlook updates for technology and product expenses, including allocations/chargebacks where applicable
• Analyze variances, trends, risks, opportunities, and performance versus budget/forecast/targets; identify key drivers and sensitivities
• Create executive-ready materials that translate complex topics into clear narratives with strong visualization and storytelling
• Synthesize financial and operational data into structured frameworks to support business cases and performance reporting
• Coordinate vendor financial management activities (forecasting, invoicing support, renewals calendar, and contract or purchase order coordination where applicable) with sourcing and vendor partners
• Maintain strong financial hygiene across recurring processes (including accrual coordination and cost center hygiene where applicable)
• Evaluate business-case opportunities, including priority initiatives and responsible use of artificial intelligence, to articulate financial and non-financial value
• Deliver ad hoc analysis for key functional areas and identify efficiency opportunities
• Track headcount, hiring plans, and position management; partner with human resources and business managers on workforce planning and adjustments
• Produce capacity and resource views aligned to product and platform priorities; support role/backfill coordination to maintain plan integrity
• Improve reporting and business management workflows through automation, tooling adoption, and standardized templates to reduce manual effort and strengthen data quality

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years of experience in financial services in a finance, business management, or financial planning and analysis role
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for a complex organization
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to translate analysis into executive-ready narratives and clear data visualizations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills; able to work independently with appropriate escalation
• Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort partnering with senior leaders
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across recurring processes (e.g., accruals, cost center hygiene)
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional partners to drive alignment on priorities and timelines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience supporting technology and/or product organizations (especially data, analytics, platforms, or engineering environments)
• Familiarity with vendor management and technology financial concepts (e.g., run vs. change, consumption-based vendor models)
• Understanding of data and analytics concepts (data platforms, data governance/management, analytics products, machine learning delivery)
• Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau or similar) and presenting key performance indicators visually
• Experience building business cases that incorporate both financial and non-financial measures of value
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and automation in reporting workflows
