Job Description

Embedded within the Fund Custody team, serves as the primary client-facing subject-matter expert for complex global markets, cross-border custody matters, and significant market events. Acts as the bridge between technical market expertise and the client relationship by translating market, regulatory, legal, tax, and operational developments into clear client impacts, options, recommended actions, and expectations. Provides timely insight and practical guidance regarding market entry, account opening, registration, documentation, settlement practices, tax considerations, regulatory requirements, local market conventions, sanctions, sub-custodian matters, and market disruptions. Proactively leads market-event communications and coordinates across clients, relationship teams, onboarding, operations, product, network management, risk, legal, compliance, tax, and sub-custodian partners to evaluate requirements, resolve complex issues, and support successful market activation. Serves as a senior escalation point for cross-border servicing issues and recurring operational challenges, identifies systemic themes across clients, and drives remediation with the appropriate product or operations owner. Participates in client reviews, prospect discussions, onboarding, conversions, and major market-change initiatives. Recommends solutions consistent with governing agreements, applicable laws and regulations, and U.S. Bank policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight to 10 years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industry

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of global custody, foreign market account opening, market registration, settlement practices, tax documentation, global tax reclamation, and cross-border servicing requirements
  • Strong ability to interpret complex market, regulatory, legal, and operational requirements and convert them into concise, client-ready guidance
  • Experience coordinating documentation and implementation activities among clients, custodians, sub-custodians, operations, network management, risk, legal, and compliance partners
  • Ability to assess market readiness, identify risks and dependencies, and recommend practical solutions with minimal guidance
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to monitor market developments and evaluate client and operational impacts
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex market initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and serve as an escalation point for complex cross-border questions
  • Experience developing market guides, client communications, procedures, training materials, or other knowledge resources
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills

Filing history reflects past employer behavior; it isn't a promise for this opening.

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence. 244 filing titles were examined for this employer.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
