As a Machinist, you'll play a key role in manufacturing precision components that support Baxter's life-saving healthcare products. You'll set up, operate, and optimize a variety of machining and fabrication equipment while ensuring every part meets our high standards for safety, quality, and performance. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to products relied on by healthcare providers and patients around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up, operate, and adjust a variety of machining and fabrication equipment to produce precision components.
• Ensure materials, tooling, and equipment are prepared and available to support production schedules.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to manufacture parts that meet quality requirements.
• Optimize machine settings, tooling, feeds, and speeds for efficient and accurate production.
• Troubleshoot equipment and programming issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
• Perform inspections and document quality results using established procedures and statistical process controls (SPC).
• Complete routine preventive maintenance checks and support equipment reliability.
• Track labor and production activities accurately.
• Partner with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and customer commitments.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and participate in problem-solving initiatives.
• Help train and support fellow operators while promoting a culture of teamwork and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with Baxter policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support operational success.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to successfully complete Baxter's Machine Set-Up Test. (Must be able to read calipers, micrometer and blueprints) - REQUIRED
• Forklift/tow motor certification, or the ability to obtain certification if needed.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary pay rate of $24.12, plus shift differential for off shifts. The pay rate is based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
