We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to help us build and scale the Public Sector engagement in Argentina, covering government (national, provincial, and municipal), state-owned enterprises, education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate will have sales experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. S/he should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive revenue and market share in the Argentine Public Sector territory by meeting or exceeding targets across government, state-owned enterprises, education, and healthcare verticals.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan, including accurate forecasting and a robust sales pipeline.
• Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services tailored to public sector needs, accelerating customer adoption by working backwards from customer challenges.
• Manage contract negotiations and public procurement processes while developing long-term strategic relationships at the C-suite and ministerial level.
• Work with ISV partners, consulting partners, system integrators, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and cross-functional teams to extend reach and drive adoption.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, drive expansion within existing accounts, and represent AWS at industry events, conferences, and government forums in Argentina and the region.

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience and track record of exceeding sales goals
• Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
• Direct field experience in working with government accounts within Public Sector Argentina.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with government procurement and contracting process
• Experience in regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies
• Experience with AI/ML, generative AI, or digital transformation initiatives in the public sector.
