The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for a strategic transformation leader to join us as a ProServe Account Executive (PAE) and guide enterprise customers through the next era of AI-driven reinvention. In this role, you'll engage new and existing customers in transformative engagements spanning Technology & AI Strategy, agentic AI operating models, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), distributed architecture, and enterprise cloud transformation. You'll partner closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Forward Deployed Engineers, AI/ML Specialists, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to turn ambitious strategic visions into measurable business outcomes.
As ProServe's customer-facing relationship owner, you'll be primarily focused on shaping and defining the transformation agenda for customers — building executive trust, identifying where AWS Professional Services, Forward Deployed Engineering, and generative/agentic AI can reinvent how they operate, and creating compelling proposals that secure customer signoff of SOWs. Following project launch, you'll stay connected with the customer to ensure we deliver the agreed Customer Business Outcomes (CBO) as outlined in the SOW.
Your experience selling strategic services and transformation programs within the technology/consulting sector will equip you to translate technical concepts — including generative AI, agentic systems, Forward Deployed Engineering, and large-scale modernization — into clear business value. You'll demonstrate proficiency in strategic consulting, business development, and sales execution, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and program management abilities. PAE performance will be measured against key metrics including but not limited to Revenue, Billable Bookings, and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud and AI. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud and AI transformation initiatives, delivering focused guidance through our global specialty practices across solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven transformation — Architect multi-year cloud modernization and AI transformation journeys with Global 500 enterprises. Partner with C-suite executives to define ambitious business outcomes and translate emerging technology into measurable competitive advantage.
• Pioneer agentic operating models & Forward Deployed Engineering — Shape the future of work by consulting on agentic AI-powered operating models and embedding Forward Deployed Engineering teams alongside customers to build, ship, and scale intelligent systems that transform business processes, customer experiences, and operational workflows. Position AWS Professional Services as the trusted advisor for enterprises embarking on their agentic transformation journey.
• Own the strategy-to-outcome arc — Orchestrate complex, high-value engagements with elite ProServe and Forward Deployed Engineering teams, maintaining strategic oversight throughout the lifecycle to ensure consistent achievement of Customer Business Outcomes while identifying opportunities to expand impact.
• Drive transformative business development — Build relationships across all organizational levels, craft compelling proposals grounded in strategic vision, secure sign-off on transformative Statements of Work, and collaborate with Amazon Global Sales teams to execute coordinated, AI-forward account strategies.

Basic qualifications

• Experience in technology-related account management or field sales roles
• Experience in technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services
• Experience in Sales, Territory Planning, Merchandising, and/or relevant experience within Customer Success, Account Management, or negotiating, nurturing, and growing customer relationships
• Experience working with or having knowledge of cloud computing and existing cloud technologies

Preferred qualifications

• Speak, write, and read fluently in German
• Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
• Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results
• Experience in AWS products and services, including pricing and technical knowledge
• Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
• Excellent storytelling and active listening abilities
