Job description

The Circuit Protection, and Controls (CPC) Division at Eaton Electrical reflects a long tradition of creating solutions that enhance electrical safety and efficient power distribution solutions for data centre, renewables, commercial buildings, industry, mining and infrastructure. Our products include circuit protection, automation, switchboards systems, fuse gear and many other low voltage products.

We are looking for a driven and passionate Territory Manager to join our Team. You will be based in Sydney and report to the National Sales Manager, CPC Components. As a Territory Manager you will grow and maintain business across Electrical Wholesalers, Distributors, Board Builders, OEMs, Contractors, and End-Users.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate who enjoys business development and account management. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to present and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and can provide solutions to customers based on their business needs.

Key Duties:

  • Achieve profit plan (budget) through orders, sales, price, profitability and growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with the assigned customer base, being the conduit of information, including product updates, price movements, technical updates and required reporting in line with company requirements and guidelines
  • Identify and qualify new customers and opportunities in the segment in order to achieve organizational growth targets
  • Identify and qualify key projects within the segment that represent the best opportunity for an Eaton solution
  • Influence the key decision makers (end users, consultants, contractors, etc) of the benefits of the Eaton Value Proposition
  • Identify and influence specifications and procurement of key projects in line with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Provide solutions to customers based on their business needs and your specialized product/market knowledge. Specifically focusing on Eaton’s Value Proposition and benefits of products and services on offer
  • Liaise with Strategic Sales Team where applicable to execute key projects within the budget timeframe
  • Act as the customer advocate for the business by representing senior management to principal customers and maintain relationships with the key decision makers.  Negotiate major contracts
  • Understand products, market segments, competitive positioning and provide input to planning processes

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales role preferably a mix of business development and account management.  
  • Electrical knowledge, Electrical trade (preferred)
  • High level of technical and product application experience in automation or power distribution.
  • Sales Experience
