Job description

At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. For millions of Americans, we’re their last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations or defective goods. From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights. Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.

Summary

Our Medical Malpractice department is looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Case Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be the critical link between clients and our legal teams - guiding clients through a difficult process with empathy while ensuring cases move forward with efficiency and precision.

This role will work out of our Winter Park office, located 1560 N Orange Ave Suite 300, Winter Park, FL, 32789

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients through initial case investigation
  • Lead the initial investigative case workup — gathering detailed medical histories & documentation needed to support potential malpractice claims and ensuring our case management platform is up to date
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized case files and leverage Morgan & Morgan's case management system to track and document case progress
  • Collaborate closely with operations, attorneys, and support staff to advance cases in a timely manner and ensure seamless internal handoffs
  • Coordinate with third-party stakeholders including medical providers, insurance carriers, and other relevant parties as needed
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the broader goals of the team

Qualification

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a varied and active caseload without dropping details
  • Client-focused, approaching every interaction with empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Ideally have worked within medical malpractice plaintiff law or within the medical field
  • A strong communicator, comfortable navigating conversations with clients, attorneys, and medical professionals alike
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working within case management systems and digital tools
  • Spanish speaking abilities

This role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team.

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence. 2 filing titles were examined for this employer.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
