Job description

At Cortland, we operate with a forward-thinking approach that challenges conventional norms and actively seeks insights beyond traditional industry boundaries. As a recognized leader in the multifamily sector, our focus on performance, innovation, and disciplined execution continues to drive strong growth and market leadership. We are committed to building a best-in-class organization by empowering top talent with the resources, autonomy, and support needed to deliver results and advance their careers in a high-performance environment.

Role Overview

As a Residential Concierge, you are the heart of the community - cultivating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, and providing exceptional support to residents, guests, and partners. You anticipate needs before they arise, resolve issues with ease, and approach every interaction with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property management, security, parking services, maintenance teams, vendors, and cleaning staff.
  • Issue, track, and replace building access cards, parking passes, and visitor credentials.
  • Support the coordination and execution of resident events, community programs, and onsite activities.
  • Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents to ensure a warm, professional, and seamless experience.
  • Oversee the front desk and lobby area, ensuring timely communication and a polished, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with property maintenance requests, amenity reservations, and coordination of work orders.
  • Maintain inventory and restock community supplies, including lobby materials, amenity spaces, and resident‑facing resources.
  • Perform daily opening and closing duties to ensure the property is ready for residents and visitors each day.
  • Keep lobby, amenity areas, and shared spaces clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Support resident engagement efforts, including event calendars, celebration programs, and community communications.
  • Collaborate with onsite teams (leasing, management, maintenance) to provide consistent property support and coverage.
  • Participate in community initiatives, special projects, and operational improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service, hospitality, or front‑desk role, ideally within a residential or service‑oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with mail and package handling processes, including USPS, FedEx, UPS, and postage equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate resident and community needs.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with basic office technology.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 15–20 pounds as needed.

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
