Senior Program Manager, Hardlines

This Sr. Program Manager role within the BISS team will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives for BISS selection that will help grow the BISS business and improve the customer experience in both the Amazon Business store and Amazon.com store. You will own end-to-end program strategy, goal setting, and execution for selection/CX programs, working cross-functionally with BISS stakeholders (including Product Managers, Vendor Managers, and Business Development Managers) and external teams (including Amazon Business Flywheel Inputs, Amazon Business Sales, Retail Business Services, and Selection).

You have experience analyzing data, driving cross-functional programs, and delivering results in ambiguous environments. You have a strong level of intellectual curiosity, excellent organizational skills, a high degree of ownership and integrity, and a high attention to detail. You are an independent self-starter who thrives in connecting people and ideas and have a strong entrepreneurial drive. You excel at communication and are comfortable playing a lead role in a highly visible organization.

Key job responsibilities

• Think Big and own the vision for building a strategy that enables customers to discover and access the best selection for their business and professional needs on Amazon.
• Disambiguate the problem space and size the problem and opportunity for BISS selection growth.
• Be responsible for end-to-end business strategy, goal setting, program management, review mechanisms, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Break down ambiguous problems into clear use cases and solution workflows for Product, Technology, and Category teams.
• Coordinate with BISS stakeholders (Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Business Development Managers) and external teams (Amazon Business Flywheel Inputs, Amazon Business Sales, Retail Business Services, Selection) to drive shared goals and deliverables.
• Establish accountability with partner teams and influence them without authority toward common goals.
• Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively.
• Be responsible for reporting and review mechanisms and communication to Leadership (Flash updates, WBR, QBR, Deep Dives).
• Be responsible for end-to-end program management with multiple parallel workstreams and tasks.

A day in the life
As a Sr. Program Manager in BISS, you will lead the strategy for BISS initiatives that improve the customer shopping experience across the Amazon Business store and Amazon.com. You will drive coordinated execution across multiple teams to deliver impact at scale.
You will develop actionable strategies that align BISS stakeholders and partner teams toward common goals. This role will be at the center of collaboration between multiple cross-functional teams in re-imagining and improving the experience for BISS customers.
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable and confident liaising with teams across business, product, and technology at senior leadership levels. You will solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks. You will be data-driven and demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate. Representing the voice of the customer, you will be an evangelist for the program vision, maintaining support across stakeholders, keeping teams energized and aligned, and driving your program roadmap at all levels.

Basic qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• Experience owning and driving large-scale cross-functional programs

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
• Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
• Proactive attitude, detail oriented, fast learner, and team player

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
