Job Summary:

Every new SMB merchant we bring on is a small business getting a better way to get paid and grow. As an Account Executive, SMB Outbound, you'll acquire new-logo merchants — including winback business — from partner platforms, working a mix of DBM, partner-generated and AI-self-prospected leads. It's a fast-paced, high-volume acquisition role: qualify quickly, present a clear value proposition, and hand off a well-onboarded merchant to the Account Management team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Engage and collaborate with the immediate team.
• Contribute to solutions and suggest efficiencies.
• Exercise judgment on issues of importance.
• Acquire, manage, and expand relationships with small and medium-sized merchants.
• Prioritize work and ensure task completion guided by policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

What You'll Do

• Qualify partner-sourced and AI-qualified leads, prioritising outreach against defined policies and procedures.
• Present standard onboarding and value propositions to merchants operating on partner platforms.
• Handle routine objections, close the right opportunities, and support a smooth path to PayPal acceptance.
• Keep accurate activity, pipeline and next-step records, and hand newly acquired merchants to AM1 or AM2 with complete context.

What You'll Bring — Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Core Capabilities We're Looking For

• Skilled at qualifying a lead quickly, asking focused questions, spotting fit, and advancing the right opportunities efficiently.
• A clear, confident communicator who explains value in terms that land with the merchant and handles common objections calmly.
• Disciplined about pipeline hygiene, accurate stages, next actions and follow-up cadence, even across a high-volume funnel.
• A good handoff partner who works within playbooks, asks for help appropriately, and transfers complete context to Account Management.

Nice to Have — Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sales, customer acquisition, inside sales or a comparable customer-facing environment.
