About the Role and Team
Uber is looking for a highly motivated and strategic Account Manager to join our Enterprise Strategic Accounts team. In this role, you will manage relationships with some of our largest and most complex partners, helping them achieve their business goals while unlocking sustainable growth for Uber.
This role requires more than traditional account management. You will be expected to understand each partner’s business deeply, identify opportunities proactively, and turn insights into action. You should be comfortable engaging partners directly, leading challenging conversations, and influencing senior stakeholders with confidence and sound business judgment.
Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and a high degree of autonomy. You will collaborate closely with teams across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to solve complex problems and deliver measurable results.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow relationships with strategic enterprise partners, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their business priorities and challenges.
- Develop and execute account plans that drive partner growth, operational excellence, and long-term value.
- Engage partners proactively and confidently, including leading complex or difficult conversations when needed.
- Identify business opportunities through data analysis, market insights, and a deep understanding of partner performance.
- Translate insights into clear recommendations and actionable initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Lead regular business reviews and strategic conversations with senior partner stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to solve partner challenges, remove roadblocks, and deliver solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements while balancing partner needs with Uber’s strategic and financial objectives.
- Operate with autonomy, strong ownership, and urgency in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, performance tracking, and stakeholder communications.
What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications
- At least 4 years of professional experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, Customer Success, Consulting, or another client-facing commercial role.
- Experience managing large, complex, or enterprise-level accounts.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect partner needs to broader business opportunities.
- Experience using data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support business decisions.
- Confidence leading partner conversations, addressing difficult topics, and driving accountability.
- Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing strategic accounts in a technology, platform, marketplace, retail, consumer goods, or high-growth environment.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Advanced Google Sheets or Excel skills; SQL experience is a plus.
- Experience building business cases, account strategies, and executive-level presentations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to move from strategic thinking to hands-on execution.
- High level of initiative, curiosity, adaptability, and ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
