The Opportunity

This position works out of our Croatian location, in Zagreb in the Structural Heart Division.

Structural Heart Business Mission - why we exist: our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute short-, mid-, and long-term marketing strategies for the Structural Heart portfolio across the CEE region, aligned with EMEA and global priorities.
• Translate portfolio strategies into compelling value propositions, market positioning, segmentation approaches, pricing recommendations, and go-to-market plans.
• Drive sustainable growth, market share expansion, and margin optimization across TAVI, TEER, Cardiac Surgery, and Structural Intervention product lines.
• Lead regional New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies, ensuring successful commercialization and rapid therapy adoption.
• Develop strategic plans to accelerate therapy adoption in both established and emerging Structural Heart markets.
• Drive consistent marketing excellence across the region while adapting execution to local healthcare systems, reimbursement environments, and market dynamics.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Country Managers, Regional Division Managers, Clinical Specialists, Market Access, Medical Affairs, EMEA Marketing teams, and distributor partners.
• Leverage market analytics, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and business performance data to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
• Drive regional forecasting, business planning, and strategic review processes to support sustainable growth.
• Partner with commercial teams through joint customer engagement, strategic account planning, and field force enablement.
• Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Heart Team members, scientific societies, healthcare decision-makers, and market access stakeholders.
• Represent the Structural Heart business at major scientific congresses and industry events.
• Influence and lead cross-functional, multi-country teams while acting as a role model for Abbott values, ethics, compliance, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• Over 10 years experience in medical devices, cardiovascular therapies, structural heart, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, or related sectors.
• Proven success in regional marketing, portfolio management, product management, or commercial leadership roles.
• Fluent English; additional Central or Eastern European languages are highly desirable.
