Operations Director

In this role, you will serve as the senior site leader for Branson facility in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico just over the border from Laredo, Texas, providing strategic and operational leadership across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Materials, Finance, Human Resources, Customer Service, Repair Operations, Purchasing, Production Planning, and Continuous Improvement. With full accountability for site performance and operational profit and loss results, you will drive business growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and organizational capability while ensuring a safe, efficient, and competitive manufacturing operation. Working closely with regional leadership and global functional teams, you will play a critical role in executing Branson's manufacturing strategy and delivering long-term business success.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Provide strategic leadership and overall accountability for all functions at the Nuevo Laredo manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with business objectives while serving as the primary site representative for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive organization by driving workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational capability to support current and future business needs.
• Drive operational excellence across manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery objectives while supporting domestic, international, and intercompany customer requirements.
• Own site financial performance, including full operational profit and loss responsibility, annual operating plans, forecasting, shipment and sales commitments, cost optimization initiatives, productivity improvement, and gross margin expansion.
• Lead quality and continuous improvement efforts through ISO 9001 compliance, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies to improve customer outcomes and business performance.
• Develop and execute supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance strategies that support operational continuity, optimize working capital, and enable successful product introductions and operational transfers.

• Ensure compliance with Emerson values, environmental, health and safety standards, ethical business practices, and applicable regulatory requirements while contributing to Branson's global manufacturing strategy and long-term growth objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Demonstrated experience leading a complex manufacturing or operations organization with responsibility for multiple business functions.
• Experience managing operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop leaders and teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience managing profit and loss performance, budgets, forecasting, cost optimization initiatives, and operational performance measures.
• Experience leading cross-functional collaboration and driving organizational change within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and manufacturing best practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

• Fluency in English and Spanish.

   

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience with full site leadership responsibility within a manufacturing operation.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, assembly, capital equipment, or related industries.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience supporting global operations, product transfers, and international supply chains.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and environmental, health, and safety programs.

• Experience leading inventory optimization, supplier development, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
