Job Responsibilities
The NM HOP Sort Module Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment performance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with non functioning manufacturing equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, install, and assemble equipment using layout plans, blueprints, operating manuals, and technical documentation.
• Execute equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance; coordinate with equipment suppliers for service and repairs as needed.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret equipment and performance data to improve tool reliability, availability, and overall module performance.
• Document system failures, update existing equipment specifications, and create new specifications supporting equipment maintenance and performance.
• Partner with Module Engineering to execute experiments, equipment configuration changes, and data collection activities in accordance with published procedures.
• Support engineering troubleshooting efforts through data analysis and controlled experimentation to meet or improve availability and performance targets and prevent future excursions.
• During factory ramps, collaborate with Module Engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed, converted, and qualified per design requirements.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards.
Note: This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements
Candidates must be willing and able to:
• Work a compressed work week consisting of three consecutive 12 hour shifts, followed by a four day work week every other week.
Shift 4: (nights frontend) PM-AM Sun-Tues and alternating Saturday nights.
Shift 6: (nights backend) PM-AM Wed-Sat and alternating Saturday night.

  • Perform work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE, including coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, and respirator (when required).
  • Lift up to 25 lbs up to five times per day.
  • Spend the majority of the shift (over 90 percent, excluding breaks) in a cleanroom environment.
  • Walk approximately 2-4 miles per shift and stand or sit for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
  • Climb ladders as required by the role.
  • Work in proximity to chemicals while following all safety procedures.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with peers, engineers, and internal customers.
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of email, web based systems, and common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.  Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.  This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

2-year contract - with potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Associates degree or higher in a non-semiconductor-related field and 1+ year of technical certification, trade school, or related technical training experience.
  • Associates degree or higher in a non-semiconductor-related field and 2+ years of hands-on technical experience, including military technical experience.
  • Associates degree in a STEM-related field, Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET), Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical military training, certification, or equivalent military experience that demonstrates knowledge and skills comparable to an Associates degree in a technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, electrical meters, and calibration tools.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $52,000.00-$200,000.00 (Hourly Role)
