Job description

Amazon brings buyers and sellers together. Our retail customers depend on us to give them access to every product at the best possible price. Making this happen is the mission of every engineer on the Amazon North American Stores Expansion (NASX) team. We are looking for exceptional SDEs to help build vendor negotiation tools that will help scale Amazon's Always On Negotiation system to ensure that we incorporate changing market variables into our purchasing decisions to give our customers the best prices available for everything we sell.

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
