Description

We are seeking a skilled Formulation Scientist/Pharmacologist to join our drug development team. Under minimal supervision, you will lead pharmaceutical formulation design and screening, LC-MS/MS bioanalytical workflows, and conduct PK/PD modeling to advance novel therapeutic candidates. The ideal candidate combines hands-on assay expertise with strong scientific writing skills to drive drug discovery projects forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation experiments, including vehicle selection, pre-formulation screening, release testing and stability assessments for drug candidates. 

• Process and analyze mammalian plasma and serum samples for bioanalytical assays and drug concentration monitoring. 

• Calculate, interpret, and report key pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) parameters to guide dosage, efficacy, and preclinical-to-clinical translation. 

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and repair HPLC and mass spectrometry systems to ensure optimal laboratory operations. 

• Analyze study results, review literature for relevant techniques, draft scientific papers and abstracts, and present findings at internal and external meetings. 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Required: 

• Background in pharmaceutical formulation development, including vehicle selection, release, and stability testing. 

• Hands-on experience handling mammalian plasma and serum samples, alongside expertise in LC-MS/MS method operation and development. 

• Proven ability to determine PK/PD parameters using standard software. 

• Proven ability to author scientific papers/abstracts. 

• Demonstrated skill in presenting complex data clearly and logically. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. 

• Preferred: 

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with long-acting and extended-release drug delivery systems. 

• Direct experience or background in cellular and biochemical pharmacology techniques.
