Job Summary

The Team

Channel9 was built to turn the heads of our Core sellers, make them fall in love with Cortex and help companies transform their security operations. Through short, engaging, relevant, funny & “edutaining” content, we grew to 7.7K internal followers (one-third of the company), including 60% of our sellers, 3.5K resellers and a large public/customer audience that we don’t even fully measure. Recently, we’ve been tapping into physical experiences like the Cortex Escape Room @ HQ to make our customer engagement more exciting, more experiential. And we’re just getting started.

At Channel9, work feels like playing in a band, and our audience sees this come across our content. Our philosophy is simple: take complicated things and turn them into bite-sized, highly engaging content that people actually want to watch. Clear up misunderstandings. Make the light bulb turn on. Create excitement. Help someone become better at their job. Sellers’ self-reported Channel9 revenue influence ended up over $19M in FY26, and this is a conservative number - so we’re onto something.

We are seeking a highly creative and engaging Channel9 Content Creator & Evangelist to conceptualize and produce compelling cybersecurity content for our audience. In this remote role, you will act as the trusted voice of Channel9, translating complex technical concepts into clear, memorable, and entertaining stories. You will build strong relationships across engineering, product, and sales teams to uncover unique narratives and deliver them through various formats including short-form video, podcasts, and live events. This is a unique opportunity to grow your personal brand while empowering our partner and customer community to learn and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and produce engaging content across formats like short-form video, podcasts, and interviews.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity technology and sales concepts into clear, memorable, and fun narratives.
  • Build relationships across engineering, product, sales, and customers to uncover compelling stories.
  • Develop a unique, trusted voice and point of view for the Channel9 audience.
  • Serve as the recognizable face of Channel9, speaking at conferences, customer events, and internal EBCs.
  • Drive audience growth and engagement by continuously experimenting with new content formats.
  • Empower the audience with technical and sales knowledge to boost confidence and curiosity.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content creation, technical evangelism, sales engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex technical or cybersecurity concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated on-camera presence and excellent public speaking skills.
  • Exceptional storytelling, interviewing, and communication abilities.
  • High degree of self-motivation, independence, and ability to manage your own content calendar.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or enterprise software industry.
  • Existing portfolio of published content, such as podcasts, videos, or technical blogs.
  • Experience speaking at large-scale industry conferences or customer events.
  • Familiarity with video and audio editing tools and production workflows.

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence. 408 filing titles were examined for this employer.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
