Job description

Realize your potential by joining the leading performance-driven advertising company!

As a Senior Business Development Manager on Taboola's Growth Advertisers team in Bangkok, you will own new business development across APAC, building a portfolio of high-growth DTC ecommerce, affiliate and performance marketing advertisers from the ground up.

This is a senior individual contributor role for a highly commercial, entrepreneurial seller who can create opportunity where it does not yet exist. There is no inherited book: you will identify the right businesses, build relationships with founders and decision-makers, originate and close deals, and help advertisers build the foundations to scale on Taboola.

The DTC and performance marketing ecosystem is relationship- and community-driven, and the strongest seller in this role will become a visible part of it: building a network and personal brand, hosting and attending industry events, and creating partnerships with influencers and community leaders so Taboola becomes embedded where our future customers operate. You will work closely with Growth Marketing to turn emerging brands, communities and acquisition trends into scalable commercial opportunities.

Our advertisers are lean, ambitious businesses, often selling into the US and Europe from APAC. They care deeply about unit economics and scale quickly when the numbers work, so you need to understand their business. Taboola sits at the top of the performance funnel: the click. You will need to understand everything that happens after it, from creative, landing page and offer through to conversion rate, AOV, CPA and LTV, and use data to help clients see what needs to change to grow.

This is a Bangkok-based role. We are open to candidates from anywhere in the world, with visa and relocation support available for eligible candidates.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years in sales, business development or commercial growth, with a strong track record of sourcing, pitching and closing new business
  • A genuine hunter mentality and proven ability to create pipeline through outbound, relationships, referrals, partnerships, events and communities
  • Credibility with founders, media buyers and senior commercial decision-makers
  • A highly data-driven approach to selling and a strong grasp of advertiser economics: CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, AOV and LTV
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing, including affiliate models and the broader B2C acquisition funnel
  • Experience with entrepreneurial, fast-growing or performance-led businesses, and the ability to operate autonomously across multiple APAC markets
  • Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills, with professional fluency in English

Bonus points if you have:

  • A recognised presence or strong network within the DTC, affiliate, ecommerce or performance marketing ecosystem, including the conference circuit
  • Built a personal brand through industry content, events, speaking, panels or professional communities
  • Created partnerships with agencies, affiliate networks, influencers, creators, technology platforms or ecommerce ecosystems
  • Founded, co-founded or been an early employee at a startup where you were personally responsible for creating revenue
  • Experience with advertisers selling cross-border into the US or Europe from APAC
  • Hands-on media buying experience across Meta, Google, TikTok, native or other performance channels, or with influencer and creator-led acquisition

How you'll make an impact:

  • Identifying and converting high-potential DTC, affiliate and performance advertisers across APAC into long-term Taboola customers
  • Owning the full commercial journey: prospecting, relationship-building, pitching, negotiation, launch and early-stage scale
  • Delivering against ambitious new business revenue targets with strong pipeline management and accurate forecasting
  • Creating new opportunities through events, communities, partnerships, referrals and influencers, and partnering with Growth Marketing to turn market trends and emerging brands into pipeline and revenue
  • Selling solutions rather than inventory, using data to understand advertiser economics, identify growth barriers and build a compelling commercial case
  • Working with Account Management and Professional Services to ensure new advertisers launch successfully and scale quickly

What we offer:

  • A senior IC role with significant autonomy and ownership across APAC
  • The opportunity to build a new commercial ecosystem and become one of Taboola's leading voices in the DTC and performance marketing community
  • Competitive base salary and a very attractive commission structure
  • Relocation support to Bangkok for eligible candidates, plus a travel budget for key regional and global conferences, customer meetings and industry events
  • Close collaboration with senior Sales, Growth Marketing, Account Management and Product leaders to shape how Taboola approaches one of its highest-growth advertiser segments

Why Taboola?

  • Flexibility: a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office, with the option to come in more often

How Openbound evaluates sponsorship

Visa history uses official U.S. Department of Labor H-1B LCA disclosure data and USCIS H-1B petition history. Green card history uses DOL PERM disclosure data. Each is read for the employer as a whole, for roles like this one, and for this location, weighted toward the most recent fiscal years.

An employer is matched to its filing entities by verified legal name and reviewed aliases; a match is never made on a name resemblance alone. Where no verified entity can be matched, the page says so and draws no conclusion from the absence. 7 filing titles were examined for this employer.

What this posting states outranks history in both directions, and an employer's published policy outranks past filings. Filing history reflects past behavior; it is not a promise of sponsorship for this opening, and none of this is legal advice.
