We are seeking a talented and driven Module Development Engineer to join Intel's global Technology Development organization in Oregon. In this role, you will be at the heart of developing, optimizing, and qualifying cutting-edge laser-based manufacturing technologies that directly enable Intel's next-generation semiconductor products. You will collaborate with world-class interdisciplinary teams and leading industry partners to transfer innovative laser technologies into high-volume manufacturing, helping Intel maintain its competitive leadership in the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and qualify advanced laser-based manufacturing processes for high-volume production.
• Optimize laser-material interaction techniques and implement solutions for process integration.
• Design optical systems and metrology tools to support development and manufacturing needs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pathfinding activities for laser technologies and innovative device architectures.
• Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to develop and integrate enabling technologies into production workflows.
• Analyze and enhance equipment performance, manufacturing efficiency, and process reliability.
• Stay informed on industry trends in laser technologies and optical systems to ensure Intel's competitive edge.
• Create cost-sensitive technology roadmaps that align with Intel's future strategic needs.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience; or a master’s degree in the same fields with 3+ years of relevant experience; or PhD in the same fields with 0+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience will be any of the following:
  • Equipment systems design, optical metrology, and manufacturing process development.
  • Laser-material interaction, optical design, and material science.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in:
  • Transferring laser technologies from development to high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges and optimize processes.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $115,110.00-219,550.00 USD
