Hourly opportunities may include:

• Hotel Order/Grill Cook
• Hotel Dinner Cook

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring food is cooked to proper standards
• Clean kitchen equipment and practice all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures
• Use the following equipment, included but not limited to gas range, electric range, broiler, deep fat fryer, serving table, refrigeration, waffle iron, griddle, and other standard kitchen equipment
• Prepare, fry, grill, broil, sauté, and cook all breakfast items – including but not limited to bacon, French toast, eggs (any style), sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and waffles
• Prepare meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, hamburgers, sandwiches, French fries, exhibition omelets, pastas, and pizzas
• May be assigned as attendant at a carving station, complex garde manger work for banquets, or to replenish food displays
• Assist Dinner Cook with production of food for restaurants and banquets

Responsibilities for Dinner Cook:

• Prepare, season, and cook stocks, soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in hotels and restaurants
• Read menu to estimate food requirements and procure it from storage
• Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
• Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking according to personal judgment and experience
• Observe and test food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked

Basic Qualifications :

• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
• Passion for culinary and delighting our Guests with food for an unforgettable Disney culinary experience!
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in culinary field with a focus on high volume restaurant production
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience required with less than 2 years of experience
• Proficient knife skills
• Proven knowledge of culinary techniques and terminology
• Proven ability to read and understand recipes
• Organizational skills; Ability to multitask and work in a very fast paced team environment
• Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required and ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to adapt to production requirements

Preferred Education :

• Culinary degree or culinary certificate

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY

Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
