What we store
Last updated 15 August 2026.
Your account
Signing in with Google gives us your email address and a user identifier, which is how your saved jobs and preferences are associated with you. We do not receive your Google password. If you use an email sign-in link instead, we store only the email address.
What you tell us
Your search context — target roles, locations, salary target, and work-authorization status — is stored so results can be ranked for you. Work-authorization status is used to customize ranking and the explanations you see. It is not shared with employers, and Openbound does not submit applications on your behalf.
What you save
Saved jobs are stored against your account so your shortlist survives across devices and after a posting expires.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your profile or saved jobs with employers. Job and sponsorship data comes from employers' public careers pages and U.S. Department of Labor disclosure files; it is public information about companies, not about you.
Deleting your data
Write to hello@theopenbound.com and we will delete your account, profile and saved jobs.
